Jesus said to his disciples: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12). It is because of the imperative in this commandment that we extend care to each other within the St. Thomas community. In our conversations at coffee hour, at Bible study, and during Sunday School, we strive to support each other in any way possible.
When a baby is born, when someone is ill, when a teen is moving on to college, we seek to support one other through the transition. A sign up list of current pastoral needs is found here; all members of the St. Thomas community are invited and encouraged to help.
Volunteer Lay Eucharistic Ministers make themselves available to visit those who are home-bound so that they, too, can participate in the life of the community through partaking of the Eucharist.
Our Associate Rector for Pastoral Care, The Rev. Anne Turner, is available for pastoral visits and/or pastoral counseling and guidance. Emailing Anne is the best way to make an appointment. If you are experiencing a pastoral emergency, please call our 24 hour help line at (571) 549-1458.
