Do you need Rental Space for an Upcoming Event?

 

We invite you to consider St. Thomas for your next meeting or function. Most spaces are available on weekday evenings and Saturdays, as well as many Sunday afternoons and evenings. We have two larger spaces, our sanctuary and Hudson Hall. Each can accommodate approximately 150 persons. We have variety of smaller spaces including a parlor with couches, a small conference room with a table and chairs, and classrooms in our preschool.

 

The cost for renting Hudson Hall and the Sanctuary is $150 for the first hour and $75 for each additional hour.

The cost for renting each other room is $75 for the first hour and $50 for each additional hour.

 

You will be asked to clean up after yourself or pay a cleaning cost.

The Sanctuary (1920 Square Feet)

The Sanctuary is a large space with immovable bench pews. Because it is our worship space, we ask that all events held in the Sanctuary be respectful of our space. The Sanctuary has been used for recitals, plays, retreats, and religious events. The Sanctuary is located in the central part of our building.

 

NOTE: Use of the musical instruments in the Sanctuary is by permission of the office, must be arranged in advance, and must be included in the rental contract.

The Lobby (736 Square Feet)

The Lobby (Narthex) at St. Thomas is a perfect space for receptions following recitals and for other social events. It’s also been used for play practices. The Narthex is located in the central part of our building.

The Parlor (240 Square Feet)

The Parlor is a perfect space for your small group meeting, should you require a comfortable and informal space. It’s attractively furnished with couches and chairs. There’s a small unisex bathroom adjacent to the Parlor. The Parlor is located in the central part of our building.

 

 

Hudson Hall (2500 Square Feet)

Hudson Hall is our fellowship hall. It can hold up to 145 people. A variety of tables and chairs are available for you to use for your event. Hudson hall is in the event wing.

The Kitchen (252 Square Feet)

Our kitchen is equipped with two dishwashers, double ovens, a gas range, and a large refrigerator. We have coffee pots and other equipment you can use for your event. The kitchen may not be used for full cooking, however you may store and warm food.

 

NOTE: The cleaning fee does not cover cleaning equipment or dishes. You must clean any dishes or equipment you use, prior to leaving. The Kitchen is adjacent to Hudson Hall in the event wing.

The Teacher Conference Room (312 Square Feet)

The Teacher Conference Room is a cosy nook for an event or a meeting. Tables are available to set up and varied seating arrangements are possible.  The Library is in our Education wing.

Small Classrooms (266 Square Feet)

St. Thomas has two small classrooms. One has seating for adults and older children, the other for younger children. They are located in the
Education wing.

Large Classrooms (494 Square Feet)

The two large classrooms would work well for meetings or events. They are located in the Education wing.

Cribbery (460 Square Feet)

The Cribbery (Nursery) is available should you wish to offer childcare during your event. It is furnished with toys suitable for young children. It is located in the Education wing.

Rental Policies

  • No loud music may be played or broadcast. If the music can be heard outside the building, it’s too loud.
  • Our buildings and grounds are smoke-free.
  • All trash must be disposed of in the outdoor bins following your event. Please do not leave trash in the rental space overnight.
  • Renters are responsible for setting up and taking down tables and chairs.
  • Rooms must be returned to the layout they were in prior to the room rental.
  • Keys must be returned to the office by the next business day following your event. Failure to return keys will result in your being charged for re-keying the entire building and replacing all keys.
  • Renters must carry liability insurance that covers church property during the rental period and names the church as the beneficiary.
