Music at St. Thomas

Music is a vital and integral part of worship and community life at St. Thomas. We welcome everyone who wishes to join their voices with ours—whether as part of the congregation or in the choir—or who want to praise God with instrumental music. Our traditional hymns come from The Hymnal, 1982; we also sing newer music from the supplemental hymnals Wonder, Love, and Praise, Voices Found, and Lift Every Voice and Sing.

The Welcome Table Family Service includes contemporary music that families can enjoy together.

St. Thomas Choir

The choir offers beautiful music for the glory of God each Sunday with occasional help from talented instrumentalists among the congregation.

The choir is happy to welcome singers of all ages and levels of experience. All that is required is an enjoyment of music, a commitment to the program, and a desire to have fun. Choir members also enjoy social activities and camaraderie outside of services.

The choir has rehearsal once a month on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM and meets Sunday mornings at 8:45 AM starting in September and continuing through early June. The choir takes a rest during the summer. This is a wonderful time to join congregational choir and see if you feel called to the music ministry at St. Thomas.
