Episcopal Church Women

The St. Thomas ECW is a vibrant group that supports both our community of women and the parish as a whole. All the women of the church are welcome to join us. We hope you will join in some of the activities that have been part of the rich legacy of the St. Thomas community. Meetings are held quarterly for fellowship and to identify ways to support the various needs of the church and our community. You can find more information in the monthly Messenger.

We have a number of strong traditions! These include:
  • The ECW Book Group: This lively and well-attended group has been in existence for over fifteen years. We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month (and take summers off). Guests are always welcome. And, you are welcome to join us, whether you’ve read the book or not! These are great evenings of laughter and thoughtful discussion.

  • United Thank Offering: Twice a year we collect coins and bills placed into little blue boxes as a sign of our gratitude. Every penny from this in gathering of donations is used for local, national, and international projects.

  • Fundraisers: Twice a year, we hold sales of baked goods, plants and “treasures” following the 10:00 Sunday service. Proceeds go to support women-focused outreach ministries and church needs.

  • Lace and Grace Tea: Every few years, the ladies of the parish and their invited guests gather for a magnificent high tea, resplendent with linen, china and silver service.

  • Creation of Christmas souvenir ornaments: These are hung on a tree in Narthex and families are invited to take an ornament home on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

  • Hand-made Quilt: For many years we created a handmade quilt that was raffled at our fall fair.
