Wheaties Cookies

- Ingredients:
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. white flour
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. rolled oats
- 1 c. sweetened coconut
- 1 c. Wheaties cereal
Directions:
- Sift together the flour, salt and leavening agents. Set aside.
- Cream shortening and sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in flour ingredients, then stir in oatmeal, coconut, and Wheaties last. You might want to crush the Wheaties slightly before adding, but not too much.
- Roll into 1-inch-plus size balls and bake on a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes until top turns golden at the edges. Cook the longer time, depending how crispy you like your cookies.
